Why we're building StratAIOps in public

building-in-publicai-cost

Most AI tooling is sold before it's built. The demo is polished, the landing page promises real-time everything, and the actual product — if it exists — does a fraction of what the copy says. We'd rather do the opposite.

Strataix is building StratAIOps: a way for teams to see what their AI actually costs and act on it. Today that means read-only connectors to your providers, spend rolled up by team and model, a daily forecast, and recommendations with a dollar figure attached. It does not mean per-request tracing, real-time dashboards, or a guaranteed savings number — because the product doesn't do those things yet, and we're not going to say it does.

To keep ourselves honest, the site's factual claims are guarded by a check that runs in CI. It knows how many connectors are actually live, and it bans vocabulary the product can't back. If a marketing sentence drifts from what shipped, the build breaks. The friction is the point: the claim and the code have to move together.

So this site isn't a pitch. It's a build log. The roadmap says exactly what's shipped, what's next, and what's still just research. The blog is where we write down what we learn along the way — a number that surprised us, a decision we're unsure about, an approach that didn't work.

If that sounds useful, come say hello.
